SMS – Geomechanics / Oilfield Rock Mechanics
The vision of SMS is to become the key player in Sand Management. To do this we are investing in a new department - SMS Geomechanics - to compliment our expertise and offer clients a significant extension to our current service provision – Field Services (FS) Sand & Solids Monitoring and Integrated Project Engineering (IPE) Sand Management Strategies, Risk Assessment and commissioning services.
We aim to launch this exciting new development in early Q3 2010 and are therefore targeting professionals with the drive and passion to lead the business unit. SMS will provide the necessary support to develop the new Geomechanics department; however the Department Manager will be a key player in the success of the department.

Geomechanical Department Manager
The position of Geomechanical Department Manager is a key role not only for the business unit but SMS as a whole. The successful candidate will report directly to the company directors. The individual must posses a broad range of technical and commercial skills and we will expect the successful candidate to take responsibility for all elements of the department and have the vision and determination to drive business growth. Key requirements for the position are as follows:
1. Business Planning (for dep)
